A porch roof need to have a very slight pitch installed on a flat roof, plywood,tarpaper and shingles installed after slight pitch made. Roof is 2 stories off of ground. I am supplying materials and am wondering what I should be expecting to pay just for labor for this job. I live in new hampshire
I purchased a brad nailer and air compressor combo kit thinking I can rent a roofing gun from home depot because they’re expensive. I just learned that the high air output is 2.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI for the compressor. I was told the compressor needs to have at least 139 PSI. But the box also says maximum 150 PSI. I don’t know what PSI is and SCFM. I just wanted to know if this compressor is strong enough for a roofing gun. It’s a small roof job and I don’t want to spend money unnesseccarily. I can rent a roofing gun from home depot. I’m not sure if I need to rent a strong air compressor or is the one I have suffice. Can anyone help me?
we hired a contractor to do the roof He said he would do it for 00. We had to buy the supplies. On November 9,2009 he signed a contract stating that he requested 00 up front and 00 in one week and the remaining amount on completion; which he guaranteed to have completed. It is not December 22 and the roof is not done. He has now 00 of our money and has not done any work. My husband is completing the job. Has he committed fraud?
there are 3 layers of shingles to remove . 1300 sq. ft . recover with felt and shigles . The owner is supplying the materials . I am a retired carpenter , but never did estimating for this type of job . Several answers were helpful , but I guess I should have added that the materials are being provided . Thanks for the input so far .All three responders have helped . Maybe this new inrormation will help them to clarify their responses .
